IL CHIP

You’re away on vacation... your child wanders off and gets lost... you call the police... THEN WHAT?

Time is critical. The police need information. A picture! Some recently worn clothes for the tracker dogs to get a scent. A fingerprint just in case the child crosses from one jurisdiction to another. Does your child have any special mannerisms or language characteristics to help police identify him? Question after question to assist in the speedy recovery of the child. Sound far fetched? Actually, every year in the U.S., thousands of children become lost. A few are victims of abduction.

Systems — like “Amber Alert” — are effective in helping recover lost and abducted children. But the authorities need vital information... AND THEY NEED IT FAST!

How IL Chip Works

The Masons of Illinois are holding identification workshops for families all around the State. They are called IL CHIP events. They’re sponsored by local Masonic Lodges and held at neighborhood functions or at community schools.

The Masons of Illinois -- who fund the entire cost of IL CHIP -- put together everything parents need to help the authorities find their lost child. It’s the most comprehensive program of its kind... and is FREE OF CHARGE TO PARENTS.

Best of all, it only takes 10-minutes and supplies parents with a complete child identification package that can be taken home or carried with the family on vacation. The information -- most of which is contained on a CD -- is compact and totally private. The IL CHIP program keeps only the parental permission form!
